Summary: Responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming CNC machines using complex NX software and adjusting the machine setting until the desire specification are achieved.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
·Determines strategies for various machining operations and designates the proper tooling to ensure quality and cost-effective product delivery.
·Expertise with NX Programming, including 5 axis machining
·Teamwork and collaboration between machinists, engineers, sales and programing manager a must
·Studies and interprets drawings and specifications of jobs to coordinate set-ups and operations to provide economical part/product manufacturing that meets quality, quantity, schedule and cost requirements.
·Provides direction and guidance of set up procedures and machining processes for machinists.
·Communicates with supervisors, engineers, and machinists to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes, quality, and assembly.
·Support Quality Department in identifying and resolving non-conformances.
·Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience:
·Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer programming or a related field and 7 or more years of progressive experience in programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
·Experience using NX software
·Solidworks experience a plus
·Ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex matters
·Advanced knowledge of reading blueprints, interpreting specifications, and GD&T
·Excellent abilities in the concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
·Must work well in a team and collaborative environment
·Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·Strong written and verbal communication skills

The employee is regularly required to read, write, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to sense, handle and feel. Job responsibilities demand exposure to the production floor where company lifting limits and safety rules will be enforced. Employee must be able to work 8 hour shifts as an essential requirement of the position. (Employee must pass yearly eye examination to qualify for this position) Random drug tests may also be performed to ensure compliance with company policies.
